With the news on the upcoming Windows 10, which I read at Windows 10 to get ‘holographic’ headset.
This is Microsoft heading in the right direction (Even announced replacing internet explorer). Microsoft in my opinion is now trying to innovate.
If Microsoft can get all their device form-factors working in a symbiotic relationship, I believe Microsoft would dominate the home. XBOX, Mobile, Tablets and PC working as one, this would open a new world to Microsoft. Which no other competitor could compete with. Not to mention this new ‘holographic’ headset.
If Microsoft can get this type of interactivity of their range of devices going, this would open Microsoft to dominating new industries. Industries like home automation and video streaming services would benefit. Imagine a SmartTV powered by Windows, maybe even TV’s with inbuilt windows/xbox hybrid. Giving Microsoft potential unheard of revenue stream via the Microsoft app store.
